In Memory: Coach Lou Saban
October 13, 1921 - March 29, 2009

"The loss of Coach Lou Saban is felt deeply within my soul and my condolences are offered to his family.  His passing away is a great loss to those who were blessed to know him, but a greater loss to those who never met him.  Football was his passion and he devoted his life to grooming young men to become stellar athletes on and off the field.

I first met Coach Saban in 1983 where he served as the Head Football Coach of the University of Central Florida.  He reinforced principles that helped me to become a true man on and off the playing field.  His nurturing took me all the way to the NFL and I played for the team that he coached, the New England Patriots formerly the Boston Patriots.

I was truly blessed to have known him and to have been coached by one of the greatest minds in professional sports.  I couldn't have become the man that I am today without his guidance and nurturing, and I am eternally grateful to Lou Saban.  He will always be remembered in my prayers and thoughts. Rest in Peace."
