UCF ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME

University of Central Florida and was a four-year starter for the UCF Golden Knights. He made his mark on the football field and when he completed his collegiate career, he left UCF holding multiple team rushing records.

April 16, 2010 was a memorable day for Elgin and his family as he was formally inducted into the University of Central Florida’s Athletics Hall of Fame.

Elgin received his honor at that evening’s Induction Dinner and he was also featured during the UCF Spring football game on Saturday, April 17.

Elgin was named a Legendary Knight for his outstanding and record-setting play as a member of the Knights football team.

Elgin earned his induction to the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame with his stellar play at running back as a four-year starter.  He completed his collegiate career with nearly all the school’s records, finishing with 2,064 yards on 464 rushes (4.4 average) and 23 touchdowns.  Elgin had his longest run, a 79-yard TD against Sanford in his last game with UCF.  He gained 118 yards on three carries that game, which UCF won by a score of 66-7.
